Nottingham Castle

Nottingham Castle is now far from its former glory, but it is certainly one of the most significant castles in the entire United Kingdom. The castle was actually built by William the Conqueror, who had it built in wood, which was the then prevalent form. The castle was later reconstructed in stone by Henry I I. The castle is far from what a traditional castle looks like, as much of the castle is no more. However, the gate house, the mighty outer walls and the caves here give a few hints about the past might of the castle. Nottingham Castle has a number of buildings located within the complex. The Ducal Mansion, which was built in the seventeenth century is one of them. It is located in the castle grounds where the ruins of the castle walls lie. Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is one of the most important monuments in the whole of Ireland. The castle dates back to centuries, and is in a remarkably well preserved state. The castle has been in existence for several centuries, and has been renovated and maintained all through. Castell de Montjuic

The Castell de Montjuic is one of the major structures in Barcelona, and it is significant not only from the point of view of culture and history, but also architecture.
