Brazil is Spanning across 50 percent of South America and attracting visitors from 500 years, Brazil has many tourist gems on its vacation land.  White sandy beaches with swaying palms covering 7000 km of the coastline, tropical islands, colonial towns, musical cities, splendid waterfalls, and red-rock gorges all are quite promising Brazil tourist attractions. Talking about the adventurous activities, kayaking, rafting, trekking, snorkeling, and surfing are some actions that will chill you on a sunny afternoon anywhere in the Brazil.

After looking at all the pros, I can hardly find any con of this enchanting tourist dreamland in Brazil.

Brazil Tourist Attractions

Brasilia

This is the capital city whose surrounding area, the Distrito Federal (DF), covers a section of the Brazilian central plateau, the Planalto with undulating hills, and a large man-made lake, Paranoa. Brazil is the only city of the 20th century on Earth to be entitled as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Therefore, I chose to explore this grand capital city.

  • Biblioteca Nacional:
This is a new active national library with worth visiting architecture in Brazil.
  • Catedral Metropolitana:
This is a breathtaking example of architecture with its 16 arched columns and curly stained-glass interior. On its entrance, you will see the lingering Four Disciples statues made by Ceschiatti who also carved the aluminum angels located in the interior of the Brazil country.

  • Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil:
This is the Brazil’s most vital modern museum sitting in a huge building in the Setor de Clubes Esportivos Sul. This museum offers attractive displays in two galleries, an Indie cinema, a café, and bookstore. From the Hotel Nacional, a white and yellow bus that says CCBB will take you here at every hour.
  • Congresso Nacional:
This is among the most amazing buildings holding the photogenic ‘dishes’ and twin towers in Brazil. Besides, there are compartments of the Senate (blue) with color code, House of Representative (green), ‘Tunnel of Time’, and antique senate benches and microphones since 1867.

  • Memorial JK:
This holds the tomb of the President Juscelino Kubitschek (JK) below the wonderful stained-glass. The museum contains 3000 books of JK making it a personal library along with a pictorial history of Brasília and JK’s 1973 Ford Galaxie.
  • Palacio da Justica:
Just in its exterior, water descends among its arches into a koi fish pond. There is a beautiful internal garden here. Don’t’ be in shorts or Havaianas.
  • Palácio do Itamaraty:
Residence of the Foreign Ministry, this is another beautiful structure where a set of arches atop a reflecting pool and floating gardens are the highlights. The rooms here are beautifully adorned using antiques and art items.

  • Parque da Cidade:
This is a good picnic spot easily accessible far from the city center with a swimming pool of artificial waves and kiosks for snacks.
  • Parque Nacional de Brasília:
This is another relaxing place especially the weekend choice of the people where you can find natural swimming pools, several rare animals – deer, stripy anteaters, huge armadillos, and maned wolves. Catch a bus 128.1 from the city bus station to reach here. There also walking trails here whose details you can obtain from the visitors’ center.
  • Santuário Dom Bosco:
This should be your must to visit structure created of concrete columns holding 7400 pieces of lit Murano glass making it feel like a sky of stars and that it throws a blue and purple shine in the complete interior.

  • Templo da Boa Vontade (Temple of Goodwill):
Built by the Legion of Goodwill in 1989 to mark universal harmony, this respected site contains seven pyramids that together make up a cone on whose atop there is the biggest raw crystal, not to be found anywhere else on the globe. In addition, the interior offers a meditation area.

  • TV Tower:
This provides a 75m towering observation deck for the second-best view of the city after a helicopter ride. On weekends and holidays, be a part of the handicrafts fair here.

The core culture of Brazil is derived from Portuguese culture, because of its strong colonial ties with the Portuguese empire.

The culture was, however, also strongly influenced by African, indigenous and non-Portuguese European cultures and traditions.

Some aspects of Brazilian culture were influenced by the contributions of Italian, German and other European immigrants who arrived in large numbers in the South and Southeast of Brazil.

The indigenous Amerindians influenced Brazil’s language and cuisine; and the Africans influenced language, cuisine, music, dance and religion.
