The country is situated extremely high in the mountains, the lowest point in Lesotho is the highest lowest point – about fourteen hundred meters.
Lesotho is the where you should go if you want to see Africa’s nature at its pristine and unsullied best. There are a huge number of terrific locales here, and some unique culture. There are opportunities for observing the way of life in African villages. The unique geography also provides a plethora of opportunities where you can hike, trek, mountaineer, climb to your hearts content. The region is also a nature lover’s haven, with a multitude of wild rugged regions that are filled with diverse species of plants and animals.

The people of Lesotho are referred to not as Lesothans or some such variation, but Basotho, Mosotho being the singular form. Maseru is Lesotho’s capital, and it is located on a wide area of flatland. The capital has about two hundred thousand residents. Although the city has nothing much in the way of tourist sights, you can observe the typical lifestyle in an African city. You can do more of culture spotting if you head to the tiny villages located at the city boundaries, such as Phomolong, where you can have more of an insight into the traditional way of life.

Teyateyaneng is a town located at not far a distance from Maeru, and is well known as a hub for Basotho handicrafts, principally the peaked hat that is worn by many Basotho. There are a good range of crafts and works of art that can be bought on the carious government supported sales. You can buy these works of art at pretty reasonable prices. These include tribal wool products, carvings and tapestries.

For some adventure, you can take pony trekking trips through the mountain areas of the north east part of the country. There is also a rustic ski area which you can access via the Sani Pass. There are not many facilities though.

Cradle Mountain is a part of St. Claire National Park, a World Heritage Site of Tasmania. The picturesque landscapes, of which it is a part, make this mountain a major tourist attraction. One can have thrilling wilderness experience at this spectacular site that stands at a height of about 1550 meters. There are numerous forests and heathlands in the vicinity of the mountain. The charismatic beauty of the place is marked with snowy streams, glacial lakes, and plenty of wild life that make it a captivating to watch.

The peaks of Cradle Mountain are made up of dolerite. The highlights of this place are the views of Dove Lake. If one is interested in walks, Loop Track near this lake is an excellent path that takes one through Ballroom Forest. This forest is situated on the slopes of the mountains. There are several contrasts that can be seen in the geology of this charming place. It is marked with basalt plains that were formed million of years ago. These plains are the result of gradual erosion that took for many centuries. This erosion has resulted in the formation of several U-shaped valleys formed by glaciers.

Wide variety of wild animals is found in the vicinity of Cradle Mountain. It is, in fact, the home of largest number of marsupials that are carnivores. Most of the mammals that are endemic to Tasmania are found here. The rare species like echidna and platypus are also found here.

Several archeological areas belonging to the Pleistocene period can be seen here. These historic heritages are the proofs of the presence of mankind at the glacial altitudes million of years ago. The hiking tours to Cradle are quite difficult and it takes more than five hours to reach the summit. The floral vegetation of Cradle Mountain abounds in alpine vegetation. Several varieties of pines and other deciduous forests are found here.

Tours to Cradle offer different types of walks. A walk to Visitor Center involves going through rainforests that lead one to enchanting Pencil Pine Falls. The track is not very difficult and is accessible by wheelchairs also. Weindorfers Walk takes one through the pine trees and myrtles. The walk to Overland Track is the most strenuous and cumbersome. The track is more than 60 km in length and it takes about 6 days to complete it. It must be attempted only by those who have enough physical strength.

Those who have come here exclusively for bird-watching will not be disappointed. There are a huge number of birds that are endemic to Tasmania. Some of the species, however, have been introduced from outside. Pink robin, scarlet robin, olive whistler, tree martin , and silvereye are some of the bird varieties that are found in Tasmania itself. Birds like blackbird, European goldfinch, and starling have been introduced in this land. The picture-perfect Cradle Mountain has made it a popular tourist destination. If one is planning to visit this charming place, there are a number of accommodation facilities that are available including resorts, lodges that offer par-excellent services.

The famous Al Qahirah All Inclusive in the Egyptian city of Cairo. The famous Al Qahirah is supposed to be one of the biggest jewels in the crown of Egypt. Al Qahirah is another name for Cairo. There are many Egyptian who look as Cairo as the mother of all cities. Not just in Egypt, but in all the middle east. This was the time I planned my fully inclusive holidays to Egypt.

This place is also known as haven for many history hunters and archeologists alike. This is a city which is wrapped with the beautiful fragrance of engagement and mystery. There are many stories of mummies and emperors. This happens to be quite enchanted and this has captured the attention of many people all over the world. The all Inclusive Egyptian city of Cairo is one of the most amazing places to be on earth! This in fact is also a perfect destination for many people to get a novice to have fun and enjoy themselves. The city on its own is assumed to be about two thousand years old by itself. There is a strong influence of different cultures which is why, this place has an impressive convergence of three different faiths mainly, the Jewish , Christian and Islamic faith and culture.

The climate here is quite desert like , as this place is essentially a desert. There weather can also get quite humid at times. When you look at this place relative to the river Nile. The best time to visit this place is during the winters.

The temperature, during the winters drops down to about eight degrees in the winter on the minimum and about nineteen degrees on the maximum.

When you are in such weather , sightseeing becomes something of a pleasurable thing to do. Yes, during the winters.

When you come to the all inclusive Egyptian city of Cairo, during the summers , the temperature could rise all the way up to forty to forty five degrees in the day and goes low to about twenty degrees in the nights.

The city has good infra structure, undoubtedly and because of this, the transportation and moving around in this beautiful place is quite pleasant. There are rails, roads, trams and maritime transport facilities.

There are taxi services, bus services, micro buses and other such facilities are all quite well organized, regularized and prevalent in this city. In fact if you are tourist, you can also hire a taxi to sight see locally and take you around on your Cairo Egypt tours.

There are many places to visit on tour, one of them is the beautiful Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. There are many items in Egypt. There are lots of novices in history who start their journey which the go down toward what interests them about this museum.

There is also a huge library for amateur archeologists. If you love to shop then you could drop in at the famous Khan El Khalili. This is a superb market to bargain and shop for historical artifacts which are just irresistible. There is also a lot of locally designed jewellery available which is quite exotic. This place is quite well known for its antique collection which is quite unique. There are artifacts here which are known to make good purchases and deals to flaunt around when you go back home!

It is said that the real taste of shopping in the all inclusive Egyptian city of Cairo comes alive at this market which is locally called ‘souq’.

There are lots of antiques and churches and mosques which make the city of Cairo well worth visiting. Cairo also happens to be one of the best places in all of Egypt.

The entrance to the national park was almost half an hour from Nkwali; this is a journey which takes you right into the Game management Area. Here you have giraffes, baboons and even elephants. There is always a sheer ring of excitement that you encounter when you reach the main gate and rive right into the park.

You could be traveling in a Chevrolet which is all wheel driven. These usually operate outside the Malawi. There are about seven people who can travel in this SUV. The wilderness safari, as it is called operates right out of Malawi. There are about seven of us people who travel in it. One of them could be the cook, a few tours operators and some guests. You will find people with cameras and binoculars dangling off of their necks. You could spend a lot of time, rattling around the park and find many different kinds of animals here.

When it is time for morning, you could also return to Nkwali for something that would serve for a very good brunch. The cooks sometimes bother surprising the guests which exotic preparations of dishes like prawn cocktails and such. Through the journey, you could always pick up packets of cheese puffs and such that are available for you through out the whole adventure. The food however was as usual, quite extra ordinary.

You should return here back to the park after you have your afternoon siesta. A host of open roofed SUV’s are on queue to take you for a short adventure trip. These will also have your own fun by stopping at scenic spots and then when you are down, they continue their journey. If it’s the night time then the SUV’s are fully equipped with powerful spotlights. The best chance to see leopards would be in the night time. Apart from he leopards you would be able to see many different animals as well. Like civets, porcupines, honey badgers, elephant shrews and such.

There are paraffin lamps every where. These are something you look forward to. In fact even the noises sound quite exotic, you can hear howls and barks and growls. All these are strangely comforting. All these contribute to the experience in the dark wilderness. By the end of the week you probably won’t even miss the electricity and the street lights and such. The whole experience just sucks you in and you may not even want to go back as this place is a great escape.

You could have an over night stop at Viphya at the plantation of pine. This place is known to be quite vast and it has large scenic views. It also has a lot of leopards.

When you actually look to the brochure that screams leopard safari, you would mostly find this quite encouraging. This is probably because you have a superb chance of seeing a big wild leopard. After about two decode of Africa safaris the huge wild cat has learnt to hide form the locals who come here. The entire desire was quite intervened into by the leopard’s reputation. There is a famous warning which reads, ‘do not ever test a leopard’.

Just an encounter is more tan enough to give your our kicks as get your adrenalin pumping. The motivation you get here is very natural. The leopard happens to also be one of the most attractive animals around. The lion seems to be perfectly camouflaged. The skin looks flawless and very attractive. Here is a certain shine to the coat that is quite fascinating. You would not be able to decipher the outlines of the body and this makes then entire thing quite cryptic.

The tracker might blame you and say something like you are cursed. Of course in all good humor. Sometimes after an entire nights drive in the wild, you might probably get too tired from all the traveling. When you actually do reach the nakwali camp, the camp is located on the very banks of Luangwa River. This is located in the eastern part of Zambia. When you come to the south side of the park, you would notice that this side is quite different from the rest of the park. And for starters, it is quite bushy. There are also host of other wild animals.

The first night or you here could e quite restless. When you enter a very comfortable wooden chalet, you might hear slight noises that are outside. It is best of you lay still. Your tent is a flimsy curtain which is all that is between you and the bamboo curtain.

In the middle of the night it is quite common to be woken up by a hippo or a deer. The hippo although happens to be one of the most feared animals in Africa. Some of the residents live behind the camp. If in case of emergency, you could always go to them for help. A friend of mine was fast asleep like a baby when at around five thirty in the morning he was woken up in cold seat by the roar of what seemed like a very hungry lion!

By now, you would probably be waiting for it to become dawn. Get some nice sunlight the first thing you wake up in the morning. In fat you could congregate around all the members of the fire from the previous night.

Check back here to find out more about what is happening on this amazing Leopard safari.

Most of the holidays consist of trips around beautiful beaches, warming your selves in the glowing sun, and playing water sports on the shores or under the blue edge of the water, where you can meet you colorful coral friends. To add to this taste of nature, you might even take tours of wild life safaris watching, and bewaring of, wild creatures, taking sight of their environment, secluded from your daily views. Or, sometimes, to change the tune, you might visit places of architecture and history, like museums and so on. But those looking for a new and a different kind of holiday experience are going to get something to add to the list, a new dish in the menu of wild life experience – Birdwatching. Birds are seen as some of the most colorful and variety creatures of the world. Some of them are melodious to, they sing. An opportunity to know their sounds and lifestyle better can be an experience full of enlightenment. Birdwatching can develop into a real passion.

Some of the salient features of these marvelous creatures, birds, are the beautiful ways in which nature has sculpted and painted them – the Macaws boast with arrogance their scarlet color, curved beaks and bright plumages. In some cases, the friendly nature of these creatures is what underlines the impression of tourists, while in some others, it’s their clever and intelligent behavior. Birds that are of a reserved kind of nature, it, undoubtedly, suits them.

Taking a look at the east of the Nature’s continent, Africa, we find some really beautiful and astonishing birdwatching areas. The Murchison Falls National Park and Budongo Forest, near Uganda, are some of them. Murchison Falls are the spectacular place where the chasms of Victoria Nile plunge, apparently allowing you to cross scenes of animals like hippos, crocodiles, herds of elephants, giraffe, buffalos, and so on. Also, this region provides sights of a great variety of birds which include Rock Pranticole, Denham’s Bustard, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Blue-breasted Kingfisher and Swallow-tailed Bee-eater. The names, themselves, sound so exotic that increases the curiosity to have a look at them right away. Denham’s Bustard is an averagely height field bird with barn feathers, spotted white in between, long legs and a white chest. The Blue-breasted Kingfisher is yet one more exotic and beautiful flying creature – a short tree bird. It is short and plump, having a long red beak; eyes covered with black spots and spotted black wings with rest of the feathers (esp. the chest) in bright lightening blue color, as the name says.

Budongo is an equally superb birding spot varying in species of many west and central African birds, just at the entrance of Uganda. Dwarf and Chocolate-backed kingfishers, White-thighed Hornbills, Chestnut-capped Flycatcher, Ituri Batis and so many other names- they are all accessible here. This brings for you a bonus chance of sighting the wild chimpanzees.

The diversity in the range of bird life their kinds and habitats allows you to birdwatch almost anywhere in the world. But some help from various travel companies and a little research can get you to choose those areas which enlist reliable weather, authentic food, comfortable accommodation and, of course, wonderful birding opportunities.

Along the east bank of the river Nile stretches out the Egyptian capital Cairo. Not only one of the oldest cities of the world, but it is also the largest city of the African continent and keeps expanding year by year.

Cairo still depicts the preponderance of Islamic culture and architecture spanning the Tulunid, Ayyubid, Mamluk, Fatimid and Ottoman periods followed by the modern sovereigns of Roman kingdom. Some architectural gems dating from the early nineteenth century can also be found in this area-

The Amr Ibn El-Aas Mosque

This first and oldest mosque on the land of Egypt, Amr Ib El-Aas Mosque was erected in 642 AD. Amr Ib El-Aas was the leader of the Muslim armies and he found the city of Fustat on entering Egypt. Currently the mosque occupies a large space, and a three doorways entrance in its north façade. There is also a sanctuary at the south of the mosque.

Babylon Fortress

Old Cairo, as the name suggests, is the oldest part of Cairo and therefore has a few interesting churches and museums with the ruins of Roman fortifications. Babylon Fortress is a part of this and is also known as Qasr el Shamee.

El-Fustat

In AD 642, this city of tents little to the north of Cairo became home to the Muslim army commander Amr Ibn-el-As who had besieged the fortified town of Babylon. Thus, ruins of Islamic mosques are easy to find here.

Al Muallaqa or Hanging Church

Call it the Saint Virgin Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church or the Hanging Church or Al Muallaqa, it is one of the oldest churches in Egypt dating back to 3rd century A.D. It is locate dright above the gatehouse of Babylon fortress and hence the name.

Mosque of Sultan Qaytbay

With many stalactites and honeycomb embellishments especially on the facade of the mosque and on the minaret under the balconies, this mosque is a must visit during your trip to Cairo.

Tomb of Sulayam Pasha al-Faransavi

Built in 1528, this mosque is an effort of the military and that is why it shows a small rectangular building with a simple prayer hall and a courtyard. It is a fine example of early sixteenth century Ottoman architecture without any ornate details.

While in Cairo, also visit the Coptic Museum, Grand Hall in the convent of Saint George, The Pharaonic village which is the museum of ancient and modern egyptian art and the Cairo Tower tp check out this ultimate blend of Islamic and Roman Architecture.

The centre of modern day Cairo lies in between of three major points- Tahrir, Ataba Squares and the Ramesses Station. Today the city is europeanised since the mid of nineteenth century. The broad streets meet at right angles and demmonstrates rococo apartment buildings with stucco mouldings.

The territory of Senegal is the nation of sights and savors surrounded with the dry desert in the north and green tropical forests in the south. Right from the lively markets, architectural sites, lovely beaches, cultural sites of villages, and natural explorations; Senegal’s all these draws are sufficient for a true admirer and holiday maker.

I am revealing this fact as this was my experience during my first time visit via a package tour.

Senegal Tourist Attractions

Ziguinchor

This is the largest town in south occupied with its royal houses and tree-dotted avenues. Here, we visited the Cathedral with magnificent architecture, Alliance Franco-Senegalaise Building offering mosaic floors and Ndebele patterns across the walls and ceilings, and the markets of the Marche Artisanal and the Marche Saint-Maur on Av Lycée Guignabo offering alluring woodcarvings, fabrics, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Then, we headed towards Ferme de Djibelor located 5 km west to view a tropical fruit and flower garden for eating and purchasing the fresh ones.

Casamance

Adorned with tropical landscapes, countless watercourses, and the largest ethnic culture of the Diola group; this is among the most beautiful destinations in Africa. We headed to the western coast to explore one of the nation’s finest beaches sprawling from Cap Skiring in north until the villages of Kafountine and Abene where a mangrove delta takes the Casamance River into the Atlantic.

Dakar

This is the most interesting capital town of the nation that offers ideal musical drumbeats, shouting markets, live sites, and art festivals in Africa. Here, we visited the following places.

Cathedral: Built in 1920s, this is the main one with a beautiful adjacent garden for children.

Chambre de Commerce and Gouvernance: These are noteworthy on Place de l’Independance to visit due to its vastness dotted by big buildings in symmetry.

Palais Presidentiel: Located south of Place de l’Indépendance, this royal building made in 1907 A.D. offers lavish gardens.

Galerie Arte: Unlike a gallery, there are good items for sale here.

Galerie Le Manege: This is a marvelous rebuilt 19th century edifice belonging to the French cultural complex.

Galerie Nationale: This exhibits often varying collections of attractive photography or paintings.

Grande Mosquee: This is another imposing monument made in 1964 in the core of small Medina full of tailor shops making space as against the coped up market stalls and innovations coming from street cafes and football lands.

Institut Fondamental d’Afrique Noir (IFAN) Museum: This is one of the ideal museums in West Africa that shows vibrant collections of show masks and traditional dresses including those of Mali, Guinea-Bissau, Benin, and Nigeria along with a best outline of styles.

Yoff: This hamlet offers a beautiful long beach along with the brilliant Layen mausoleum. However, upon the visit, be dressed up properly – long skirts for females and trousers for males. Do not smoke or drink here, as it is prohibited.

Les Mamelles Lighthouse: Situated off Rte de la Corniche-Ouest, we reached here after a 1 km drive from the quest (25-minute walk) on a small volcanic hill. We were delightful to have a spectacular view across Dakar from this 1864 tower without any fees. Then, we went at the beach of Rte de la Corniche-Ouest that is famous for jogging, picnic parties, and Sai-Sais, but not for swimming due to strong currents.

Mosquee de la Divinite: We headed towards the north on the coastal road from the lighthouse to see this amazing mosque.

Beaches: From the city centre, we could easily reach the beach – private Plage Lagon II near Hotel Lagon II and Plage de l’Anse Bernard near Hotel Le Savana.

Saint Louis

This is the historic French settlement alluring visitors with its colonial architecture, horse-drawn carts, and peaceful vibes.

Cathedral: Located in south besides the governor’s palace, this was built in 1828 A.D. exhibiting a neoclassical facade.

Galerie Mame Thiouth: This gallery offers quite appealing modern exhibitions kept under the arched ceilings.

Governance: Located off the Pont Faidherbe, this building will captivate your mind. It was made on the relics of the colonial fort of the 18th century. The ruined ancient walls are still visible from around the backrooms of the Syndicat d’Initiative.

Musee de l’Aeropostale: Situated at the back of the Governance building, this museum exhibits about the colonial airmail service that aid in the growth of the town and some of the readings on the life of the popular pilot Jean Mermoz.
