Fun Paradise Phuket

The island of Phuket is quite famous for the amazing beaches it has and the fun night life. The tsunami made things difficult for a very short while , although , in a short span of time, Phuket came back to claim its position of being one of the most famous and enjoyed beach destinations of the world.

The market of premier luxury beach resorts in this region became a major boom and brought in large amount of revenue for the tourism industry.

The government and the people have both contributed in making Thailand a world class restaurant destination along with making it a new and upcoming art community that would largely contribute to what the country already has.

The beach town of Kamala has had renovated cottages that line the entire one side of the hill that faces the beach. The cottages now go along thee promenade.

You should definitely get yourself a crepe roti and taste the Thai version which is eggs and fruit and condensed milk.

Head to mount nagakerd. Here you will find a huge marble covered statues of Lord Buddha.

You might in fact see some workers finishing what remains of the Lotus seat. From here you will get an amazing view of the adjacent Andaman sea.

You could , if you’d like; go to the tourist oriented places and check out the beach restaurants. However if you really want to have some fun , then you should follow the locals into the inland town of Phuket. This place is also known for its night market. The night market is located at the Robinsons departmental store. During the day, this place happens to be a lively commodities market, however in the night this place turns into a very diverse and intriguing food court.

There are plenty of portable carts that seeks food.The food carts pull up to the curb and all around you will find the cart vendors servicing their customers with plastic plates. There are plastic chairs that are unloaded onto the streets.

There are tasty Thai and Chinese dishes that have many local delights like the famous spicy papaya salad. You should definitively try the barbequed pork buns . The coconut curry. One of the famous deserts here is the sticky rice and the mango. The food here is quite cheap so along with your food, you should get a beer as well, for as little as two hundred baht.

The national sport here is quite brutal. The martial art that that gotten its roots from ancient times, Muay Thai . The contestants ram into each other and use their feet , fists , elbows and knees. You will able to witness the fights at the Suwit stadium which is located at the Chaofa road. They even have ceremonial fights and pre fight dances and the traditional music that makes the form of marital arts so crafty and cultural.

You could go and witness some upcoming fighters where they practice at the gym. You could also get a bus ride to and from the gym to the stadium.

You should then go and check out the Bang Pae safari. This place is located at Sridoonthorn road and it specialists in elephant treks and excursions. The excursion passes through many streams and thickets of rubber trees. During the trek you could even go ahead and speak to the Mahout ( the rider of the elephant) you could ask him to let you ride the elephant for a while while he could assist you.

Right next to the elephant rides is the Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife sanctuary. This place of famous for its sing song gibbons. The gibbon project is a non profit organization that specializes in returning captured gibbons back to their own home habitat.

Witness the friendly apes and as you go further into the forest you will be able to take a dip into the relaxing pool.

Mom Tri is a famous local architect who runs a large empire of hotels and restaurants in Phuket. If you are around the Royal Phuket Marina, then you should visit the Boathouse Regatta which belongs to the Mom Tri’s foundation. This place is as amazing as the big yachts that can be seen docked out at the front of the marina. The Lobster Ravioli and the Mushroom Veloute are some of the two most sought for dishes. Curried fired rice along with cashew nuts and seafood and pineapple is also one of the common favorites here.
